I obtained my Arkansas massage license in June 2007 after graduating from the American University of Healing Arts in Little Rock, AR. I am a certified hand and foot reflexologist thru the International Institute of Reflexology since 2003. I am the owner and massage therapist of Two Toes Up Reflexology and Massage in Harrison, AR.
In my spare time I run marathons, 1/2 marathons, and am working toward my black belt in karate.
As an athlete, I know what it takes to recover from a long run or intense pain/soreness. There's nothing I do in my sessions that I don't have done to myself on a regular basis. So I understand how it feels to be sore or in pain and need a massage. I also understand how hard it can be to allow someone to work on you while feeling this way. So I aim to do the best I can with what you bring to the table and trust that you will keep me informed of your comfort level during the session. There may be some days that an easy massage is more beneficial than deep tissue and I totally honor that.
For those who aren't athletically inclined, I understand that you need to relax and be able to get thru the day feeling good and somewhat human if you're hurting. Most of the pain you have is probably from a repetitive motion or action or posture you're doing at work, home, or in the car. I'm not going to kid you, it may be a little tender or sensitive to work thru this soreness during a massage. However, you will more than likely feel better after the massage or a few days later (the time frame is different for everybody).
